This is a Lopburi style Buddha image. The Buddha image is dressed in royal attire and sits in the Mara-Vijaya posture in a glass pavilion. It appears strong and stable, demonstrating the craftsmanship that created this beautiful and magnificent work. Above the throne-like base are two-tiered lotus flowers and a single-tiered lotus flower. The Buddha image clearly shows the lines of the sanghātika. Phra Yod Khunphon, Wat Kai temple
.
The Yod Khunphon amulet from Wat Kai in Lopburi is the most popular and famous. It is considered the original "Yod Khunphon" amulet at Wat Kai in Thale Chup Son subdistrict. It is assumed to have been built in the early Ayutthaya period. In the past, it was a very prosperous temple, but today only the ruins of a broken pagoda remain. The name "Wat Kai" comes from the fact that around the base of the pagoda are 'chicken figures' made of white plaster. The villagers therefore called this abandoned temple "Wat Kai."

.
.
The discovery of the Phra Yod Khunphon amulet from the Wat Kai crypt was first made around 2489-90. The excavation of the crypt, which was the result of digging for amulets and valuables belonging to older fortune seekers, yielded a large number of ancient amulets from various eras and styles, mixed together, including pure Lopburi art and Ayutthaya art. It is believed that amulets from both eras were brought together to be enshrined in the crypt during the construction of the chedi, similar to those at Wat Phra Sri Rattana Mahathat in Lopburi Province.
.
The Phra Yod Khunphon amulet from Wat Kai, made of silver alloy, is larger than other amulets. The complete amulet clearly shows the details of the face. The pillar on the left side of the amulet has a higher head than the one on the right, which is the unique characteristic of the mold. The back is a fabric pattern. The surface of the amulet is dark grey. Mercury is found scattered in the crevices. Amulets from Wat Kai are the most popular and are outstanding in their invulnerability, evasion, and high power.
