Phra Somdej with a fan on the back, Luang Pho Mui, year 2516

.

Luang Por Mui created the first edition of the Phra Somdej Kaiser amulet with a fan on the back. This edition was created at Wat Don Rai. Luang Por Mui created the amulets on a specific occasion, starting in 2510 and continuing until approximately 2516. Therefore, the materials used varied in many forms, but all used the same mold. The mold was carved by a craftsman in Bangkok. The front features a Phra Somdej Kaiser amulet, while the back was intended to feature Luang Por Mui, complete with his name and yantra. However, when the time came for the molding, the craftsman did not finish carving the image of Luang Por, leaving only his name and yantra. The temple solved the problem by inserting alpaca tweezers in the shape of a fan on the mold instead, hence the name of this amulet.

Luang Por Mui created the three most well-known standard Somdej amulets: 3. Somdej Kaiser with a fan on the back / 1. Somdej Phra Prathan (Luang Por Khom also created similar ones but different on the back) and 2. Somdej Chedi.
