Sacred objectSacred Luang Pu Aiem

The Phra Pidta is considered one of the five best Phra Pidta, which is Luang Pu Eiam’s Phra Pidta from Wat Saphan Sung. It is made from valuable materials and goes through a sacred and powerful ritual. He will use sacred herb powder and roots, which are believed to be very charming, and grind them together with Phathamang powder, Itthije powder, Trinisinghe powder, Maharach powder, and Buddhakhun powder. It is also filled with a hundred and eight incantations, the Itipiso Yantra, Traisaranakom, and the Solos Mahamongkol Yantra. What is unique is that Luang Pu will use ship’s wax powder as an ingredient in the Phra Pidta and press it into a mold that is attached to the front and back, causing almost every Buddha image to have a side seam.

Luang Pu Eiam's Phra Pidta is a floating Buddha image that stands out with great magic and the main material. The powder mixed with lacquer and dipped in lacquer is called "Lak Nam Kliang". There are both gold-plated and non-gold-plated types. His Phra Pidta therefore has special properties. Even after a long time, the lacquer still preserves the Buddha image to be in perfect condition. It is old and naturally dry. It is outstanding in terms of loving-kindness, popularity, fortune, escaping danger, invulnerability, as well as protection from ghosts, demons, and black magic. It is appropriate that the amulets and Takruts Solos Maha Mongkol that he created all have great Buddhist powers, making them one of the five Benjapakee of Thailand.

Legend of the sacred

There is a story about the devotion to Luang Pu Eiam of Wat Saphan Sung. Even the incense ashes and water in the canal in front of the temple are miraculously “magical” even after he passed away for a long time. Due to his sacredness, it turned out that the base where he used to relieve himself was sealed off. However, when there was a fire at the cemetery, only Luang Pu Eiam’s base did not burn.

When the miracle appeared like that, people gradually came to cut the zinc sheets at the base and roll them into amulets until they were all gone. In addition, there were people who came to dismantle the wooden pieces to worship until there were none left. Furthermore, those who did not get anything came to dig up his excrement to worship because of their utmost faith in Luang Pu Eiam.

Before his death, Luang Pu Eiam told his disciples with his immortal words, “If any happiness or suffering arises, just remember and mention my name.” That suffering will be eliminated and dispelled.

Since then, it has been well-known among Luang Pu Eiam's disciples that whenever they encounter any distress, they will invoke Luang Pu Eiam's name to protect them from all dangers, until the sacredness of Luang Pu Eiam, the first name of Wat Saphan Sung, became widely known.
