The power of Luang Pho Ruay
Legend has it that there was a farmer named Mrs. Jamnong Bangkhajorn who was struck by lightning while planting rice. She stiffened and collapsed into the water in front of her husband and relatives. When she regained consciousness, everyone rushed to help carry the lifeless body up. It turned out that the unfortunate woman's clothes were completely burned, but there were no wounds on her body. They took her back home to give her first aid and sprayed her with liquor.
The next day, Mrs. Jamnong's symptoms gradually improved. She was able to stand up. When asked, Mrs. Jamnong replied that she only had one of Luang Por Ruay's first edition coins hanging on her body, which were made to celebrate her ecclesiastical title in 2513. This is a miraculous tale that has been told about since then.
And another event that was a miraculous phenomenon in the eyes of the public occurred when the foundation stone was laid at Ban Tako - Don Yang Nang School. While the monks were chanting Chayanto and Luang Pho Ruay was anointing the foundation stone, Kamnan Sa-wang Chokchai drew a 9 mm gun and shot across the sacred thread for good luck. But miraculously, the gun failed to fire.
