Luang Pu Sila Sirichanto's Dharma Park Monastery, Muang District, Roi Et
Original name: Sila Nilchan Born on October 14, 2488 (Ban Bet, Bet Subdistrict, Rattanaburi District, Surin Province), his parents were farmers. He was ordained as a novice at the age of 15 at Wat That Prathap and at the age of 21 he was ordained as a monk at Wat Burapha Phiram, Roi Et Province.
Luang Pu Sila had a good conduct, was humble and simple, and was eager to learn and study the Dharma. He studied the scriptures, passed the highest level of the Dharma examinations and the sixth level of the Pali examinations. When he became proficient in the scriptures, around 6-2517 he went into seclusion to practice Vipassana in remote forests and mountains. He studied Isan-Lao Dharma scriptures, palm leaf manuscripts of Somdej Lun's lineage, and various spells and incantations until he was proficient. His reputation was known throughout the Isan region and Lao PDR.
With his humble and simple conduct, compassion, strong Buddhist magic, and amazingly evident clairvoyance, he developed a belief in Luang Pu. He was invited to participate in the Buddha Abhiseka ceremony for many amulets and sacred objects. He was considered a famous monk of the era.
